Neighborhood Block Party

On Good Friday some of our awesome neighbors planned a block party in our cul-de-sac. It was so much fun. I thought maybe we would be out there for a couple hours but we closed it down at 10pm because we had to get the kids to bed. It was really casual, some of the neighbor guys brought out their grills, they provided hamburgers and hot dogs and the rest of us brought some sides and drinks. They set up patio tables and chairs in the cul-de-sac and everyone met each other and chatted all night. They also got a bouncy house for the kids and our neighbor Lisa made this Bunny Box that had Easter eggs hidden inside for the kids to dig through and find. We met so many nice neighbors and kids that lived around us. Our kids spent the whole night in the bouncy house. Pete literally jumped in there for over 3 hours only coming out to get a drink and go back in. Jamie wandered barefoot from thing to thing, person to person, chair/lap to chair/lap, wow-ing people with her curls and pretty blue eyes. She pretty much stole the show. We all had a blast! Which reminds me, I need to say thanks again to our neighbors who planned it. Fun times. Hopefully we will have more of those. We will have some great parties in our backyard once we get our bbq in place.
