Ugh

We have all been sick this week so I don't have a lot of exciting pictures to post. Jamie has stayed healthy so far so keep her in your prayers that she stays well. Pete and dad are on their way out of it and mom isn't fairing so well. All this said there won't be any pictures of mom this week. But my babies are still cute. :)

Helping dad put together Jamie's bed. She has been sleeping in a pack in play next to our bed since she was born. We tried to move her into her bed this week but it was just easier to move her back and keep her in what she knows, for now, until we all feel better and can handle the change.
Our little angel smiling at mom. She is the cutest smiley girl in the world. I used to wonder how I would love another child as much as I loved Pete but Jamie answered that question easily. She is mommy's little sugar and my heart is overflowing with love for her.

Halloween 2009

Halloween was so much fun. We did what we did last year and went to our friends house in a neighborhood near by. They always have a nice party with lots of good food and good laughs. We had some dinner then took Pete out trick or treating. Our friends stayed with Jamie back at the house so she wouldn't get cold and fussy. It was a cold night but could have been worse. I enjoyed watching Pete experience his first real Halloween so much. It was such a wonderful night. We talked about how next year Jamie will be tagging along with her brother. How fast time goes. How fun life is with children to share it with. How beautiful our children are. How blessed we are.

Tigger

Wednesday Pete was Pooh. Friday Pete was Tigger. This Tigger costume came from my childhood friend Julie who sent it us when Pete was born. Her girls had enjoyed many a play days in it and now Pete was going to see dad at work in it. P. took Pete around trick or treating at work to each office. All P.'s coworkers loved seeing him and spoiling him with lots of great candy. Jamie was in this sweet outfit from my friend Allison and her parents. It had black, orange and purple polka dots and cat ears. She was such a doll in it and it was so warm and cozy for a rainy cold day.

Trunk or Treat

A church near our home has this Halloween event every year called Trunk or Treat. They decorate the trunks of cars, trucks and vans and you trick or treat to them in a parking lot. We took Pete last year but of course he wasn't old enough to enjoy or understand it. This year was totally different. P. teaches on Wed nights and I just figured I wasn't going to be able to go but the closer it got the more I wanted to try to go. I called a friend up to see if he would watch Jamie for me so we could go. Pete and I had a ball. It was his first experience with trick or treating and he thought it was the best thing in the whole world. You get to carry this bag and people dressed up as cool things give you candy. Pete loves to people watch. This was a perfect place to people watch and I think he could have sat on the side and watched people all night long. We stayed a little over an hour because my back and neck were killing me. I couldn't put Pete down much because he would wander and we would lose our place in line. I wish we could have stayed longer and watched the fireworks but that's ok. It was a great time just mom and son.

Abby enjoyed the attention from Jim that she doesn't get anymore since those darn babies came along. :)

Trying on Costumes

We were extremely lucky to have had some costumes handed down to us since Pete was born. He had a few options to choose from this year. Here are pictures from our costume fashion show. He was so excited to see himself he couldn't wait to get the rest of the costume on before wanting to look in the mirror. Hence the pictures without pants.
