Christmas

Christmas was up north with my in-laws again. It was a great time and so much fun with all the kids. Since I should be packing right now I will just post a few of my fav pics and share more later.

Merry Christmas

Could there be anything better than seeing your daughter's face in the light of the Christmas tree early on Christmas morning?

Went to a drive through Christmas lights thingy tonight. Kids loved it. Took a pic with Rudolph afterward and Pete got to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas. A gun. And he told him he has been good. Which is true.
And to all a goodnight.

This Week

Playing with dad. Pete would run around the house while dad would hide in a doorway and hit a balloon at him when he ran by.Daddy's going away party at work yesterday. The kids and I went and cried a lot as his wonderful co-workers said such nice things about him and wished us well on our next adventure.

Church

Today at church the lady that works in the nursery with Pete said Pete makes her want to have more children.

I told her Pete makes me want to have more children too.

What a compliment to hear as a mom. I owe it all to God. He made Pete and I was just blessed to get him as a wonderful gift.

Yesterday

We were busy yesterday.

Jamie up at 6:30am. Breakfast, packed stuff for kids, everyone ready. Friends came over at 9am to take the kids back to their house so we could do some packing. I went through baby stuff for 2 hours, P. packed a room in the basement. Stopped for lunch. Back to packing until 3pm. Store for birthday present for 4pm birthday party. Over to friends house to get kids and hang out a bit. Birthday party at Playworld until 8pm. Jamie down, decorate tree with Pete, Pete down.

Today. Jamie up early again. Breakfast, plow the snow, off to church. Prepare for Christmas turkey dinner with the Searls tonight, kids break a ton of ornaments off the tree, kids down for naps.

Dinner menu for tonight: Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry and the Searls are bringing pies and rolls. Should be yummy. Busy day but always worth it when you sit around the table with your friends sharing a good meal and lots of laughs.

Decorating the tree. Since we are moving we didn't get a tree this year. It just feels wrong but what can you do. Next year we will have a big beautiful one in our new house. Until then this little fake one will have to do.

What's Going On???

Something is wrong with me! I have done three very fun things this week with girlfriends and not taken any pictures at any of them. I had my camera but totally forgot. You can believe I am not going to forget at my friend's jewelry party/girls night out tonight! Geez. So not like me. I am so disappointed I don't have those fun times with friends documented forever in my iPhoto! Anyway, that said, here are some pics of the kids I took this week. We didn't do anything exciting this week, just hung out around the house and a little outside.

By the way, I love how Abby is in the background of most pictures I take. She is actually in most of them but I don't always post the ones you see her in. I'm not even sure how it happens, she is just always there. She is the best family dog. If we are sitting on the floor reading she is laying down next to me listening. If we are outside playing she is outside running around with us. If we are eating dinner she is sitting just outside the kitchen watching us. She still gets incredibly excited every time we come home no matter where we have been or how long we have been gone. And at 10 1/2 years old she is still very sweet, patient and happy. Abby is a good dog and I hope she lives for a long, long time. I wish she was in our Christmas picture this year, she would have liked that.
