Doctors Appointment

Monday I had a doctor's appointment and just wanted to give everyone an update. I gained 2 pounds which was good but I am still 3 pounds under where I started about 9 weeks ago. The doctor told me to keep eating, I said no problem. Weight as of Monday, 156, but I feel huge. And depending on what I wear, I look huge. I need to put a new picture up of my belly but it will have to wait until I get back from FL. My blood pressure was good and as for the new spotting that started when I went to CA my doctor said as long as it's not running down my leg I am ok. Nice huh? The baby's heart rate was 160 and immediately my doctor predicated a girl. She said according to the heart rate, where he/she is sitting and how sick I am she felt it was a girl. I told her I was this sick with Pete too so that's not a reliable predictor. She said, well, we will know in a little over two weeks! :) Overall things were perfect. Next......ultrasound and the half way mark!

So I am off to FL tomorrow to meet my friend Erin for a long weekend of sun and relaxation. As much as I will miss Pete I think this weekend will be good for me. I have had a baby boy stuck to my leg or arm for over 11 months now. As much as I love it, I need a break. It will be good for me, my body, Pete, and this new baby for me to have a little "me" time. P. is taking the next 5 days off to stay home with Pete and I am so excited to be joining one of my best friends in warm, sunny FL for a few days. Can't wait to post pictures and give an update when I get back.

Here are the party decorations/plates/napkins for Pete's 1 year birthday party. I had to go "dog". We got a "pin the paw on the dog" game for all the kids to play and paw streamers for decoration. I have my eye on a few more dog themed items that I might get before the big day. What do you think? Perfect?

32

I turned 32 yesterday! 32 is my favorite number. When I was young my favorite basketball team was the LA Lakers and my favorite player was Magic Johnson who was #32. Growing up I used to say I would go sky diving when I turned 32 but a lot has changed since then. Well, one, I am pregnant and two, I am not quite as daring as I used to be. There is way too much at risk these days. So, my 32nd birthday was much more low key than all the others. But that is ok, life used to be about me, I don't feel that way anymore. P. and Pete went out in the morning and got me a donut and white chocolate mocha. In the afternoon we did some shopping and I got a few summer maternity items. We grabbed some pizza for lunch and they gave us a free birthday mud pie and ice-cream. It was fantastic. After dinner we had some friends over for cake and ice-cream. It was great to see friends again after a few weeks away and fun to celebrate with loved ones. I received some beautiful spring flowers from my friend Tina and her family, a Yankee Candle (my first) from Julie and her family and Julie also brought over the sweetest bib for Pete to wear on his 1st birthday. I couldn't have chosen a cuter bib for our son to wear on his big day. P. and Pete made me a card that I will keep forever, bought me a delicious Costco cake and brought me home beautiful flowers that I just love. It was a great night. Thanks everyone. I feel so blessed.

Pete and I out for pizza with dad.The girls and Pete.Me and my boys.I tried to cut Pete's hair last week. It's getting really long down his neck and over his ears. The curls are somewhat cute but overall he needs a good trim. Well, my attempts didn't work very well. He moved the whole time, trying to see what I was doing, trying to grab the scissors, and since he was in a chair I couldn't see the back of his head at all. I took a few snips and gave up. I might have to just take him somewhere at some point. I did get a cute picture of him though after giving up and having some fun. Oh and one more thing....Pete's new favorite toy......
