Bringing Jamie Home

We came home from the hospital on Monday, Aug 10th. It was a hot, humid summer day. We forgot a head support for the car seat so had to use a blanket to prop her into the seat. She looked so little in there. Jamie came home in a cute green and pink outfit that my parents sent her. It says I love daddy on it. I was excited to get home to my house and my other children but a little nervous to face the responsibilities. I was in no shape or state of mind for responsibilities besides the little new one in my arms. Thank God P. was home with us for the first week and Katie was an extra set of hands in case we needed them.

We came home to a full house. Omi, Opa, Krischan, Uncle Bob, Aunt Edna, Katie and Pete. It was exciting bringing Jamie into the house for the first time and neat to show her off to the family. She had slept all the way home, different than when we brought Pete home. He was awake and fussing and to this day doesn't like being in the car and on rare occasion falls asleep in his car seat.
