Quick update because I am tired and anxious to get to bed soon. Florida was awesome. Yes, I missed Pete, and P., but the trip was literally so wonderful and went so fast I didn't think about it as much as I thought I would. The weather was so nice the whole time and I got a nice tan to show for it. Erin on the other hand didn't think sunscreen was necessary the first day and got a nice burn to show for it. We spent two full days laying on the beach, tanning, catching up and relaxing. The other day we took a bus down to South Beach. It was a totally different place than where we were staying. Much more "spring breaky" than up north where we were. Thank God. South Beach was too much for us. Here is a picture of us standing on South Beach, way over dressed and way under drunk.
Erin and I travel well together. We get along, we like doing the same things and we have a ton of fun together. And as much as Erin loves and enjoys being around Pete it was nice to have time together without him. We spent as much time as we could outside, we ate dinners overlooking the beach, and enjoyed every bit of the warm sun we could. We did some shopping, had a few drinks (mine were virgin of course), and slept in. Overall the trip was perfect. So glad we went. Here are a couple more pics.
Oh and of course I have to post a few cute pictures of Pete. I took him to the park Tuesday, it was a beautiful 60 degree day, and he loved the swing. And the kid swinging next to him was born on the same day, 6 hours earlier. Crazy.
Today Pete was playing in the drawers in the bathroom when he closed the door. It was too quiet for him to be still in the drawers so I opened up the door and found him unrolling the toilet paper. I ran to get my camera and got a pic of him before it was totally unrolled. It was so funny. I got a video of him too, he was so proud of himself. So now we have an empty roll and a pile of t.p. on the bathroom counter.
